Recorded Modules

Recorded Learning Modules

Each module connects research to real-life application, featuring real therapy walkthroughs, clinical reflection, and practical strategies you can use straight away.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Engage a reluctant child in the first session

  • Choose and adapt effective target words

  • Move confidently up and down the CAS cueing hierarchy

  • Deliver flexible, play-based, neuroaffirming CAS therapy

  • Support co-occurring needs (e.g., autism, regulation)

  • Track progress and write advocacy-focused reports

  • Confidently treat children at all stages — from first words to late-stage therapy and teens

Module 1: Target Words – Re-Thinking CAS Therapy

Progress in CAS therapy often stalls when therapy focuses only on functional words. In this module, you’ll learn why syllables are the true building blocks of speech, and how to select achievable, motivating targets that unlock real progress.

We’ll cover:
✔️ The syllable hierarchy and how to apply it in therapy
✔️ Moving beyond “death by drill” while still following motor learning principles
✔️ Practical strategies for adapting DTTC to each child
✔️ How to modify therapy while staying neuroaffirming and effective

By the end of this module, you’ll feel relieved, motivated, and confident knowing how to choose targets that get children talking — sometimes their very first words — and keep them moving forward step by step.

Module 2: Assessment & Diagnosis
Learn how to assess CAS in young or hard-to-test children, adapt formal tools, build rapport, and differentiate CAS from other speech disorders.

Module 3: Treatment of CAS

✔️ Understand the principles of motor learning and how they apply to CAS therapy
✔️ Master the cueing hierarchy and know when to adjust support
✔️ Explore practical tips and strategies to address common CAS characteristics
✔️ Shape natural stress, rhythm, and intonation
✔️ Keep therapy motivating, playful, and engaging
✔️ Apply and adapt evidence-based approaches (DTTC, ReST, Kaufman, Nuffield, and more) to meet each child’s unique needs children

Module 4: Real Therapy in Action – Mild, Moderate & Severe CAS

✔️ Gain access to therapy examples across a range of severity levels
✔️ See what different techniques look like in real practice
✔️ Discuss therapy decision-making in action — pacing, cueing, scaffolding, and co-regulation
✔️ Reflect on what worked, why, and how to adjust strategies in the moment
✔️ Translate the principles from Module 3 into practical applications
